History & Experience

Dean’s Concrete was founded by Joseph Dean and Obadiah Dean. Dean’s Concrete is a company that is built on value, honesty, integrity and trust. Using their past experience working for a concrete contractor, in 2002 we added a full service concrete division to our company, to better serve our customers. Today we have grown to one of the Miami valley areas largest landscape and concrete companies.

Together our staff has over 110 years of combined experience in the concrete industry. The concrete division invests in their team’s education by sending them to classes that provide them practical, how-to education, enabling participants to understand and perform the latest techniques, technology and business/project management best practices within the concrete/masonry industry.

Dean’s Concrete employs concrete finishers certified through the Ohio Ready Mixed Concrete Association. Members of our management team are Certified Master Concrete Construction Management from World of Concrete.

Over the years we have strived to be as efficient as possible in order to reduce our waste into landfills. One area we have found to be successful in is the fact that we own and operate a concrete crusher/screener and are able to crush, screen and reuse 98% of all concrete we remove from our job sites. Through recycling we are able to produce 304’s (base gravel), #2 (driveway base) and #57’s (backfill/drainage gravel).

Another area we have implemented recycling is with the use of our own soil processor. We are able to screen, process and amended the soil enabling us to reuse 95% of the dirt that we remove from our own job sites into quality topsoil.

Through our efforts in conservation and recycling we have become an eco-friendly leader in our industry.
